Born from a Mother's Need
Journey Just Her didn't start as a nonprofit. It started as one mom who faced real challenges with her own daughter — and refused to let another mom walk that road alone.

I Didn't Have a Circle. So I Built One.
I started Journey Just Her because I faced some real challenges with my own daughter. I didn't have a circle. I had to pray my way through it — and I did. I came out on the better side because I put God first and kept going, even when it was hard.
Then I went viral on TikTok a couple of times, and moms started telling me they wished they had a circle too. They talked about motherhood trauma, about wanting to do things differently with their daughters, about feeling alone in it. That confirmed everything I already knew.
I've always been the person who gives back — openly, freely, just because it feels right. Knowing I've been through something and can show another mom how to get through it too? That's what drives me. This community is my purpose.
Our mission
"To build a worldwide village of support, empowerment, and love for Black mothers raising preteen and teenage girls — so that no mom walks this journey alone, and every daughter grows up knowing her mother had a community behind her."

A world where every Black mother raising a preteen or teenage girl has access to a community that sees her, supports her, and celebrates the extraordinary work she is doing.
